Welcome to Fuzzy or Seymour’s web site.

If you are wondering who is Fuzzy or Seymour, we are Graham Benson’s alter ego that’s why it is one or the other. Seymour is Graham on stilts (see-more, ha, ha, ha, very funny). Fuzzy is when he is more down to earth. Graham has a variety of other characters that he performs as: DEATH yes the grim reaper but on stilts, making him over 8ft tall. Wivit as in get on with it, the dotty old wizard, pointy hat, staff and all. Sir Laugh Alot the jester. And now he even performs as Graham Benson, suave, sophisticated juggling magician.

My skills include: Juggling (funny: hedge hogs, eggs, food, balls, clubs and dangerous: knifes, baseball bat, axe, machete, cricket bat, fire), Magic (close up and stage), Stilt walking, Balloon Modeling, Penny-Farthing, Mini Bike, Unicycle, Rola Bowler (a plank balanced on a tube), Hat Manipulation, Whip Cracking. I can perform as a juggler or magician. Normally I would combine the two with the other skills that I have. Some characters are suited to specific tasks e.g. Wivit just magic, Seymour cannot ride the bikes.

Experience: I have been a professional juggler magician since 1992. I started juggling when I was the manager of a kite and juggling shop (I was a kites flyer at the time). I was first offered work doing juggling workshops, I then met an agent/performer at a holiday camp. He offered me my first performing jobs mainly in shopping centre's doing walk-a-bout. From there I progressed to doing juggling shows and increased my repertoire to include magic, balloons and all the other skills. I have been continually developing my shows to a level were I can perform juggling or magic to the most demanding of audience’s (13 year old Glasgow boys). I have worked: in top hotels, restaurants, private and public functions, car show rooms, shopping centre's, Murryfield, Hampden football ground as well as other sports events, a nuclear power station open day, exhibited in Edinburgh Zoo, Stirling Castle, STV, BBC, Cannel 4 Discovery channel (Canada) and loads more. Graham has been the main organizer of 5 Scottish juggling Conventions and one British Juggling Convention in Perth.

What sort of venues: I change my act to suite the venues be it a stage shows in a theatres, hotels or an outdoor gala day. I have my own PA with two 200 watt speakers, radio microphone and CD player. The PA is adequate for most small to medium size halls, I use it for school shows with an audience of 400 kids. Larger halls and events tend to have there own system.

Walk-a-bout: otherwise known as mix and mingle, is best suited to gala days, shop openings, or places were you do not want a static show but an entertainer moving around, interacting with the guests in smaller groups. For walk-a-bout: I tend to do, close up magic, balloons, and some juggling. Walk-a-bout can also be done on Stilts (Seymour) this is a very visual part of the entertainment as I can be seen from a distance. It also gives me a portable stage. I can also do walk-a-bout from the penny-farthing or should that be could ride-a-bout. I ride about and jump off the penny farthing do some magic, or chat, I even put kids on the penny farthing and push them around giving them the experience of a life time. This is also a photo opportunity for the parents.

Shows: Shows can either be stage or street type events. Street just means no stage and totally surrounded this can be done in the middle of a field (a PA could be used with the addition of a generator). I can very the shows for kids to adults combining juggling and magic. I tend to prefer a mix of the two, to a level were the whole family would enjoy it. You will have to let me know if you would prefer me not to use knifes etc.

Table Hoping: Is for restaurants hence its name. I go around entertaining people while they are at their meal. This may be at a formal function, military mess, charity function, or a more casual functions.

Workshops: I with my wife we run Fuzzy’s and Britta’s Circus school. We mainly do workshops in schools but can do them for other groups Scouts, youth groups or even corporate team building events. For more information go to www.circusschool.co.uk

What Requirements do I need: A 13 amp socket if I’m using the PA (2 more if you require the disco lights). That’s it. I try to be as self contained as possible so you do not have to worry about me and get on enjoying yourself or organizing the rest of the event.

Were do I work: Geographically I am based in Cumbernauld off the A80 between Glasgow and Stirling. I have worked as far North as Shetland and South to Brightonin the UK. I have also worked in Germany and Australia. I have my own transport and work all over Scotland and North of England, but will go further a field if travel and accommodation costs are covered.

Insurance, Health and Safety, Child protection: A concern these days, as a member of Equity I have 10 million pounds of public liability insurance. I also have 2 million pounds of fire insurance. You can look at the risk assessment and child protection policy on www.circusschool.co.uk for the workshops. I do a lot of work with councils and therefore have a Disclosure Scotland certificate.
